Honoring Black History Month at Marcus at Baha Mar Fish + Chop House
Black History Month is about honoring and celebrating the legacy of several influential African Americans. This month, Marcus at Baha Mar Fish + Chop House will be featuring several menu items highlighting prominent African American trailblazers.
Cato Alexander
The first African American mixologist known for his carefully crafted punch cocktails, our Alexander Punch is a tangy and sweet bourbon cocktail made with pineapple and orange juice and finished with a bitters foam.
Martin Luther King, Jr.
Martin Luther King, Jr. enjoyed discovering the stunning turquoise waters and white-sand beaches of the Bahamas. To honor his legacy, we have created our own take on one of his favorite desserts – the pecan pie.
Soul Queen
Inspired by the Queen of Soul - Aretha Franklin, a civil rights activist, we have created the “Soul Queen.” The Soul Queen is a fiery yet beautifully balanced bourbon cocktail made with jerk pineapple syrup, passion fruit liqueur, coconut water, and a dash of bitters.
Sir Milo Butler
Our Afro-Bahamian Grouper dish is named after Sir Milo Butler, a Bahamian politician who was awarded the Bahamian Order of National Hero in 2018. The Sir Milo Butler Grouper is served with jollof rice.
